The Sundström SR 100 half mask is made of silicone and available in 3 sizes: S/M, M/L, and L/XL. The overview below is a guideline for choosing the right size. It is important to have an airtight seal on your face. Otherwise, the mask will leak and won’t protect you.
How to measure your size
Measure the distance from your chin to the bridge of your nose. This measurement serves as a guideline for selecting the size of the half mask:
- Less than 112 mm is size S/M.
- From 112 mm to 125 mm is size M/L.
- More than 125 mm is size L/XL.
5 Steps to Ensure the Most Reliable Protection
- Pull the neck strap over your head before putting on the mask.
- Start at the chin and “cup” the mask over your mouth and nose.
- Pull the headband over your head and position it on your crown; never attach the headband over a cap or safety helmet.
- Tighten the head harness using the buckle until the mask fits snugly but comfortably on your face.
- Pull the lower straps outward several times to evenly distribute tension across the head harness; ensure the strap assembly is securely in place.
Check with a Quick and Simple Leak Test
- Place the palm of your hand lightly over the opening of the pre-filter holder to create an airtight seal. Don’t press too hard, as this can deform the mask and make the test unreliable.
- Take a deep breath in and hold it for a few seconds.
- If the mask fits properly and is airtight, it will press against your face due to the negative pressure created by your inhalation.
Check Your Mask Before Every Use
Each time you use your mask, something may have happened that causes it not to seal properly anymore.
