Edscha tailwing

Edscha Tailwing; for easy opening of sliding roof with tailgate

When you want to build a car with a sliding roof and tailgate, this is often a tricky story. The tailgate is stuck, making loading and unloading large cargo pieces very difficult. Edscha has come up with a solution for this. The TailWing is directly connected to the end carriage of the roof and is moved along with the entire roof as an integral component. The driver can easily, safely and quickly unlock the Tailwing from the ground, after which the Tailwing automatically, powered by a powerful double spring system, opens upwards. An opening angle of 140° can be achieved.
