Correctly connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron and AC, can be challenging due to dimensional and compatibility issues with the couplings. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series, which is specially designed to connect, for example, older pipes, such as those made of asbestos cement or cast iron, to modern pipe materials, such as PE and PVC. In addition, they have a long lifetime and are quick, safe, and easy to install. This makes the Hawle Synoflex an all-round coupling and indispensable because of the time and costs that can be saved.

Application

PE80/100 pipes (according to EN 12201) are compatible with 7994 flange adapters. The Synoflex flange adapter can be connected to various pipe materials, such as steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron, and AC, in accordance with EN 14525 (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The flange bore is according to EN1092 PN10. This flange adapter has a DN 150 flange on one side and has a restraint, wide range connection of DN 150 on the other side. The size range of this connection is minimum 155 mm to maximum 192 mm. With a gasket of EPDM, the flange adapter is suitable for drinking water up to PN16.

Product Features

The Synoflex flange adapter is made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating, which makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or damage from corrosion or chemicals. The unique design of the grip ring distributes pressure evenly across the pipe, resulting in the least constriction on the pipe compared to other fittings on the market. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require a support liner for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Furthermore, the Synoflex coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to a maximum of 4° over the entire size range of the flange adapter.
