DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-AS40 HT 50 mm

For repair work and corrosion prevention of pipe connections, DENSO has developed DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics. Applying DENSOLEN® tapes is effortless and requires no special tools. The self-amalgamating layers of the tape form a protective layer that is oxygen- and water-resistant. Application

The DENSOLEN®-AS40 HT single tape system is a high temperature resistant system, especially in combination with a primer formulated to withstand higher temperatures, the DENSOLEN®-HT100 Primer. With only one winding process and an overlap of 50% it meets the requirements of ISO 21809-3. By applying four layers the properties of the tape can be significantly improved. Regardless of how many layers it has, it maintains excellent shear strength, even at the maximum operating temperature.

Product Features

With butyl rubber adhesive on both sides, DENSOLEN®-AS40 HT is a 3-layer co-extruded plastic tape made of stabilized polyolefin carrier material. The tape has self-amalgamating properties which creates a leak-proof, hose-type coating when the tape is wrapped. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-AS40 HT is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures up to +100 °C. The tape has a thickness of 0,8 mm, a width of 50 mm and a roll length of 15 m.
