DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-N10 100 mm

DENSO's DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics are used for corrosion prevention and repair work. No special tools are required to apply DENSOLEN® tapes. The layers of DENSOLEN® tape melt together to form a protective layer that is water and oxygen resistant. In addition, thanks to DENSO's continuous commitment to innovation and sustainability, all DENSOLEN® Tapes are H2-ready, making them perfect for the future transition to hydrogen energy.

Application

The many applications of DENSOLEN®-N tapes include in pipeline and installation construction, metal and vehicle engineering, electrical installations and building services technology. Due to their flexibility, they adapt perfectly to the underlying surface structure. The tapes are wrapped spirally with a slight tension and an overlap of approximately 50% of the tape width. DENSOLEN®-N tapes can also be provided with an outer layer of another two-layer tape from DENSO, such as DENSOLEN®-R20 HT. These tapes are provided with a polyethylene carrier film that significantly increases the mechanical strength of the coating.

Product Features

With butyl rubber adhesive on both sides, DENSOLEN®-N10 is a 3-layer co-extruded plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material. The tape has self-amalgamating properties which creates a leak-proof, hose-type coating when the tape is wrapped. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-N10 is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures from -40 to +50 °C. The tape has a thickness of 1 mm, a width of 100 mm and a roll length of 12,5 m.
