DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Plast 200 mm

Application

DENSO®-Plast is a tape system that can be used for pipelines situated underground or in water and for applications outside pipeline structures. The wrapping system uses three layers of tape, which are obtained by a wrappping process with an overlap of 66%, or two wrapping processes, one inner wrapping with an overlap of 50% and one outer wrapping with an overlap of 10 mm. DENSO®-Plast can also be used in complex applications where spiral wrapping is not possible. In these cases, the tape layers can be applied one after the other with the appropriate overlap. DENSO®-PF Mastic and DENSO®-Plast Mastic are available for filling flanges or other uneven surfaces. DENSO®-Plast has DVGW approval according to DIN 30672 and DIN EN 12068 (NG-5180AO0703) and is therefore regularly subject to internal and external quality controls.

Product Features

DENSO®-Plast consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 30 °C. In addition, DENSO®-Plast is provided with a single-sided laminated PP film, which prevents the protective mass from being washed out, which can be caused, for example, by rising or falling groundwater. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 200 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
