DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus 100 mm yellow

For repair work of pipeline connections and to protect them against corrosion, several DENSO products can be used, including DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics. DENSOLEN® tapes are easy to apply and do not require any special equipment. The tapes are self-amalgamating and form a protective layer that is both water-resistant and oxygen-resistant. Application

Coating of weld seams and pipe repairs have been successfully carried out with DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus for decades. The product is suitable for small nominal pipe diameters and can also be used on larger transport pipelines. The tape has DIN-DVGW approval and can be processed in three- (B 50) or four-layer (C 50) configurations, depending on the protection class. The international standards DIN 30672, EN 12068, ASTM and AWWA apply to the product.

Product Features

DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus is a co-extruded 3-layer plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material with butyl rubber adhesive on both sides. Because the butyl rubber layers of the tape melt together when the tape is wrapped with overlap, a leak-proof, hose-type coating is created. This prevents water vapor and oxygen from entering and the accumulation of soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures up to +85 °C. The tape has a thickness of 0,8 mm, a width of 100 mm and a roll length of 10 m. The use of DENSOLEN®-HT Primer is recommended to achieve optimal adhesion of the DENSOLEN® tapes to the substrate.
