Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series is designed to provide a solution for joining non-dedicated pipes made of different materials. It features a gripping mechanism that provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference, resisting axial loading. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism's ability to hold the end load increases. Additionally, the grippers are removable, allowing UltraGrip to be converted into a flexible, non-restraint product that allows for axial movement.
In accordance with EN 14525, UltraGrip flange adapters are compatible with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The flange bore is according to EN1092 PN10/16. This flange adapter has a DN 350 flange on one side and has a restraint, wide range connection of DN 350 on the other side. The size range of this connection is minimum 352,2 mm to maximum 396 mm. In addition, this flange adapter is suitable for gas up to PN 5 due to the gasket of NBR.
The UltraGrip flange adapter is manufactured from ductile iron with a rilsan nylon 11 coating. This makes the flange adapter resistant to long-term abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion. In addition, the specially profiled gasket completely seals pipes, despite damage or corrosion on the pipes. For the UltraGrip side, a support liner is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to 4° over the entire size range.
