Viking Johnson gradient coupling UltraGrip DN150-DN175

For connecting non-dedicated pipes of different materials, the UltraGrip series from Viking Johnson is an excellent solution. The gripping mechanism ensures maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference and is therefore resistant to axial loads. With increasing internal pressure, the gripping mechanism can hold more end loads. In addition, UltraGrip can be converted into a flexible, non-restraint product with axial movement by removing the grippers.

Application

Various pipe materials can be connected to the UltraGrip coupling, including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. With an EPDM gasket on both sides, the coupling reducer coupling is suitable for drinking water up to PN 16. This UltraGrip reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 150 and has a size range from a minimum of 158,2 mm to a maximum of 192,2 mm. The other connection is DN 175 and has a size range from a minimum of 192,2 mm to a maximum of 226,2 mm.

Product Features

The UltraGrip reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip reducing coupling is made of cast iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating, which makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or damage from corrosion or chemicals. Even pipes that are damaged or corroded are completely sealed by the specially profiled gasket of the coupling. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, it is possible to absorb an angular deflection of up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the UltraGrip reducing couplings.
