Viking Johnson offers a solution for connecting non-dedicated pipes of various materials with the UltraGrip series. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference and resistance for axial loads. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism can hold more end loads. In addition, UltraGrip can be converted to a flexible, non-restraint product that allows axial movement by removing the grippers.

Application

Various pipe materials can be connected to both sides of the UltraGrip coupling, including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. The UltraGrip coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 100 and has a size range from minimum 107,2 mm to maximum 133,2 mm on both sides. This coupling is equipped with a EPDM gasket on both sides, making it suitable for drinking water up to PN 16.

Product Features

The UltraGrip coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip coupling is made of ductile iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating. This makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion over a long period of time. In addition, the specially profiled gasket ensures that even damaged and corroded pipes are completely sealed. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. In addition, the UltraGrip coupling is suitable for angular deflection up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the coupling.
