DENSIT® tapes are developed by DENSO specifically for insulation and sealing. In addition to providing protection against air and water ingress, the tapes create high-quality connections between prefabricated components, making them indispensable for any building or construction project.
DENSIT®-FK and -K are particularly suitable as an intermediate layer between metal surfaces of the same or different types, as well as between construction components made of other materials. This allows these tapes to be used for insulation in the construction of wagons and containers. In addition, they can be used for corrosion protection of ventilation and cooling systems, as well as for sealing joints in ventilation, air conditioning and electrical technology applications.
A unique property of DENSIT®-FK and -K is their ability to provide galvanic isolation between dissimilar metals due to their high electrical resistivity and operating temperature range of -50°C to +80 °C. DENSIT® -FK tapes consist of a laminated thin polyethylene film. In contrast to DENSIT® -K, DENSIT® -FK only has one adhesive layer and is therefore ideal for use on free surfaces. This tape has a width of 20 mm, a thickness of 1 mm and a roll length of 10 m.
