DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus 50 mm black

DENSO's DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics are used for corrosion prevention and repair work. No special tools are required to apply DENSOLEN® tapes. The layers of DENSOLEN® tape melt together to form a protective layer that is water and oxygen resistant. In addition, thanks to DENSO's continuous commitment to innovation and sustainability, all DENSOLEN® Tapes are H2-ready, making them perfect for the future transition to hydrogen energy.

Application

Coating of weld seams and pipe repairs have been successfully carried out with DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus for decades. The product is suitable for small nominal pipe diameters and can also be used on larger transport pipelines. The tape has DIN-DVGW approval and can be processed in three- (B 50) or four-layer (C 50) configurations, depending on the protection class. The international standards DIN 30672, EN 12068, ASTM and AWWA apply to the product.

Product Features

With butyl rubber adhesive on both sides, DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus is a 3-layer co-extruded plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material. The tape has self-amalgamating properties which creates a leak-proof, hose-type coating when the tape is wrapped. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-AS40 Plus is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures up to +85 °C. The tape has a thickness of 0,8 mm, a width of 50 mm and a roll length of 10 m. The use of DENSOLEN®-HT Primer is recommended to achieve optimal adhesion of the DENSOLEN® tapes to the substrate.
