DENSO UV-resistant tape DENSIT®-PB 225 mm

DENSO has developed various DENSIT® tapes specifically for insulation and sealing. The tapes offer protection against the ingress of air and water. In addition, the tapes create high-quality connections between prefabricated components, making them an indispensable part of any construction or building project.

DENSIT®-AL and DENSIT®-PB are self-adhesive butyl rubber-plastic tapes with laminated, polyester-reinforced aluminum foil. The foil is not only highly tear-resistant, but also has a matt gray (DENSIT®-PB) or silver gloss (DENSIT®-AL) finish. Because butyl rubber has a strong adhesive, the tapes are easy to adhere to many surfaces and materials, resulting in complete coverage and optimum sealing of edges, folds and other transitions. In addition, DENSIT®-AL and DENSIT®-PB protect pipes, cables, antennas, chimneys, sheet metal, window frames and roofs from corrosion. Metallic colours make these tapes ideal for above-ground applications. In addition, the tapes can be used as an anti-corrosion layer with any DENSOLEN® 3-layer tape. Suitable for factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen.

In addition to protection against water vapour and oxygen, DENSIT®-AL and DENSIT®-PB also offer protection against UV radiation. The tapes reflect solar radiation and thus reduce the temperature of the encasement material, which can significantly extend the service life of pipeline material, especially in very hot countries with intense solar radiation. This tape is suitable for operating temperatures from -30 to 80 °C. Furthermore, the tape is 0,6 mm thick, 225 mm wide and 10 m long.
