DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Cal 50 mm

Application

DENSO®-Cal tape can be used for wrapping pipes and fittings that transport hot media and are located in warm environments. It is also suitable for surfaces that have not been preheated. DENSO®-Cal tape is applied at a surface temperature below 50 °C using DENSO®-Cal Primer. This ensures rapid and complete coverage of the substrate and strong adhesion of the tape. Above 50 °C, no primer is required.

Product Features

DENSO®-Cal consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -50 °C to 120 °C. The petrolatum mastic has a high melting point and excellent adhesive properties, making DENSO®-Cal ideally suited for high mechanical and thermal loads. In addition, DENSO®-Cal is provided with a single-sided laminated PP film, which prevents the protective mass from being washed out, which can be caused, for example, by rising or falling groundwater. The thickness of the tape is 1,2 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
