DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Feu 100 mm

Application

DENSO®-Feu is suitable for various applications. It is used for corrosion prevention of metallic construction components with complex shapes or uneven surfaces, but can also serve as a galvanic insulation layer. When DENSO®-Feu is used for insulation, at least one layer is required, and for corrosion prevention at least two layers with an overlap of 50% are required. For complicated applications where spiral wrapping is not possible, the tape can also be applied layer by layer with a suitable overlap.

Product Features

DENSO®-Feu consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C. The petrolatum mastic has a high melting point and excellent adhesive properties, making DENSO®-Feu ideally suited for high mechanical and thermal loads. The thickness of the tape is 1 mm, the width 100 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
