DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Feu 50 mm neutral

Application

DENSO®-Feu can be used for various purposes. For example, it is used for corrosion protection of metallic construction components with uneven surfaces or complex shapes, but also as a galvanic insulation layer. The use of DENSO®-Feu for insulation requires at least one layer, while at least two layers are needed for corrosion prevention, with an overlap of 50%. It is possible to apply the tape layer by layer with a suitable overlap for complex applications where spiral wrapping is not possible.

Product Features

DENSO®-Feu consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C. The petrolatum mastic has a high melting point and excellent adhesive properties, making DENSO®-Feu ideally suited for high mechanical and thermal loads. The thickness of the tape is 1 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
