DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Feu 50 mm

Application

In addition to corrosion prevention of metallic construction components with complex shapes or uneven surfaces, DENSO®-Feu can also be used as a galvanic insulation layer. For insulation, at least one layer of DENSO®-Feu is required and for corrosion protection, at least two layers are required, with an overlap of 50%. In complex applications where spiral wrapping is not possible, the tape can also be applied layer by layer with an appropriate overlap.

Product Features

DENSO®-Feu consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C. The petrolatum mastic has a high melting point and excellent adhesive properties, making DENSO®-Feu ideally suited for high mechanical and thermal loads. The thickness of the tape is 1 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
