DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Plast 100 mm

Application

DENSO®-Plast is suitable for underwater and underground pipelines, as well as applications outside pipeline structures. In the wrapping system, three layers of tape are wrapped with an overlap of 66%, or twice, with an inner wrapping of 50% overlap and an additional outer wrapping of 10 mm overlap. Furthermore, DENSO®-Plast is ideal for complex applications that cannot be wrapped spirally. These cases can be solved by applying the tape layer by layer with the right overlap. DENSO®-PF Mastic and DENSO®-Plast Mastic are available for filling flanges or other uneven surfaces. Furthermore, the tape is regularly subjected to internal and external quality controls due to the DVGW approval for load class A 30 according to DIN 30672 and DIN EN 12068 (NG-5180AO0703).

Product Features

DENSO®-Plast consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 30 °C. In addition, DENSO®-Plast is provided with a single-sided laminated PP film, which prevents the protective mass from being washed out, which can be caused, for example, by rising or falling groundwater. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 100 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
