DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Plast 50 mm

Pipes, metal structures and pipe components such as fittings and flange connections are all protected against corrosion by DENSO's corrosion prevention products. Their anti-corrosion tapes are easy to apply and do not require heat. In addition, the petrolatum tapes are solvent- and odour-free. This makes their products extremely safe to use, protecting both the user and the environment. Application

DENSO®-Plast is a tape system suitable for pipelines situated underground or in water, as well as for applications outside of pipeline structures. The wrapping system consists of three layers of tape which are obtained with a wrapping process with 66% overlap or two wrapping processes with an inner wrapping with 50% overlap and an additional outer wrapping with 10 mm overlap. DENSO®-Plast is also ideal for complicated applications where spiral wrapping is not possible. In these cases, the tape can be applied layer by layer with a suitable overlap. DENSO®-PF Mastic and DENSO®-Plast Mastic are available for filling flanges or other uneven surfaces. DENSO®-Plast has DVGW approval for stress class A 30 according to DIN 30672 and DIN EN 12068 (NG-5180AO0703) and is therefore subject to regular internal and external quality controls.

Product Features

DENSO®-Plast consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 30 °C. In addition, DENSO®-Plast is provided with a single-sided laminated PP film, which prevents the protective mass from being washed out, which can be caused, for example, by rising or falling groundwater. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
