DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Tape MT 50 mm

Application

DENSO®-Tape MT is used in combination with DENSO® petrolatum mastics, which are available for different requirements. For example, DENSO®-AQ Primer enables the coating of damp substrates and DENSO®-PF Mastic is suitable for filling weld seams and metal construction components with uneven surfaces or complex shapes. In combination with DENSOLEN®-AS50, which can be applied after DENSO®-Tape MT as additional mechanical protection, high impact resistance is achieved and an extra tight coating is created.

Product Features

DENSO®-Tape MT consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -30 °C to 60 °C. The petrolatum mastic has a high melting point and excellent adhesive properties, making DENSO®-Tape MT ideally suited for high mechanical and thermal loads. The thickness of the tape is 1,7 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
