Zoom in

A petrolatum tape for corrosion prevention at low working temperatures, especially in cold applications. Also known as Denso tape.

Description

For pipelines and metal structures, but also pipe fittings and flange connections, DENSO offers solutions for corrosion prevention. DENSO®-Tapes are free of harmful solvents and odours and can be applied effortlessly without heat. This makes the petrolatum tapes extremely safe to use and also very eco-friendly. In addition, thanks to DENSO's continuous commitment to innovation and sustainability, all DENSO®-Tapes are H2-ready, making them perfect for the future transition to hydrogen energy.

Application

DENSO®-Tape ST can be combined with various DENSO® products, making the tape a perfect match for the right applications. The tape can be applied with a 50% overlap around a pre-treated surface with DENSO®-Mastic. In addition, Denso's DENSOLEN® tapes can be used as additional mechanical protection. This ensures high resistance and a strong, reliable seal.

Product Features

DENSO®-Tape ST consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 50 °C. The tape is very flexible, even at low temperatures, and easy to apply due to its optimal surface wetting. In addition, DENSO®-Tape ST shows high resistance to acids, salts and alkaline substances. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 50 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
