DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Tec 100 mm

Application

In addition to corrosion prevention of metallic construction components with complex shapes or uneven surfaces, DENSO®-Tec can also be used as a galvanic insulation layer. For insulation, at least one layer of DENSO®-Tec is required and for corrosion protection, at least two layers are required, with an overlap of 50%. In complex applications where spiral wrapping is not possible, the tape can also be applied layer by layer with an appropriate overlap.

Product Features

DENSO®-Tec consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 35 °C. The tape is very flexible, even at low temperatures, and easy to apply due to its optimal surface wetting. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 100 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
