DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSO®-Tec 200 mm

Application

DENSO®-Tec provides corrosion protection for metallic construction components with complex shapes or uneven surfaces. In addition, this tape is also suitable for other applications, such as serving as a galvanic insulation layer. For insulation, at least one layer of DENSO®-Tec is required, while for corrosion prevention at least two layers with an overlap of 50% are required. It is also possible to apply the tape layer by layer with a suitable overlap in complicated applications where spiral wrappping is not possible.

Product Features

DENSO®-Tec consists of an impregnated polypropylene carrier material, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion-preventing petrolatum mastic. This makes the tape impermeable to water and highly resistant to aqueous electrolyte solutions. The petrolatum mastic is stabilized by polymer additives, which means that the tape can be used at operating temperatures from -40 °C to 35 °C. The tape is very flexible, even at low temperatures, and easy to apply due to its optimal surface wetting. The thickness of the tape is 1,1 mm, the width 200 mm, and the roll length 10 m.
