Application

The DENSOLEN®-AS50 single tape system is designed for the construction of water pipes and has excellent corrosion protection properties. The tape can meet the requirements of EN 12068 stress class B50 after only one layer with a 50% overlap, making it an extremely cost-effective product.

Product Features

DENSOLEN®-AS50 is a co-extruded 3-layer plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material with a butyl rubber adhesive on both sides. When wrapping the tape, the butyl rubber layers completely melt together, creating a leak-proof, hose-type coating. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-AS50 is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures up to +50 °C. The tape has a thickness of 1,1 mm, a width of 100 mm and a roll length of 10 m. The use of DENSOLEN®-HT Primer is recommended to achieve optimal adhesion of the DENSOLEN® tapes to the substrate.
