DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-N10 50 mm

For repair work of pipeline connections and to protect them against corrosion, several DENSO products can be used, including DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics. DENSOLEN® tapes are easy to apply and do not require any special equipment. The tapes are self-amalgamating and form a protective layer that is both water-resistant and oxygen-resistant. In addition, DENSO is continuously committed to innovation and sustainability, which means that all DENSOLEN® Tapes are H2-ready. This makes their tapes perfect for the future transition to hydrogen energy.

Application

DENSOLEN®-N tapes can be used in a wide range of applications, including in pipeline and installation construction, metal and vehicle engineering, electrical installations and building services technology. Due to their flexibility, DENSOLEN®-N tapes can perfectly adapt to the underlying surface structure. The tape is wrapped spirally with a slight tension and an overlap of 50% of the tape width. Another DENSO two-layer tape, such as DENSOLEN®-R20 HT, can be used as the outer layer for DENSOLEN®-N tapes. The polyethylene carrier film of these tapes gives the coating a significant increase in mechanical strength.

Product Features

DENSOLEN®-N10 is a co-extruded 3-layer plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material with butyl rubber. A leak-proof and hose-type coating is created because the butyl rubber layers of the tape completely melt together during the wrapping of the tape. This makes the tape system insensitive to water vapour and oxygen and also resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-N10 is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures from -40 to +50 °C. The tape has a thickness of 1 mm, a width of 50 mm and a roll length of 12,5 m.
