DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-N8 50 mm

For repair work and corrosion prevention of pipe connections, DENSO has developed DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics. Applying DENSOLEN® tapes is effortless and requires no special tools. The self-amalgamating layers of the tape form a protective layer that is oxygen- and water-resistant. Application

DENSOLEN®-N tapes are used in various areas of application: in pipeline and installation construction, metal and vehicle engineering, electrical installations and building services technology. Thanks to their flexibility, they adapt perfectly to the structure of the underlying surface. DENSOLEN®-N tapes are wrapped spirally with a slight tension and an overlap of 50% of the tape width. In addition, DENSOLEN®-N tapes can be provided with an outer layer of another two-layer tape from DENSO, for example DENSOLEN®-R20 HT. The polyethylene carrier film of these tapes results in significantly increased mechanical strength of the coating.

Product Features

With butyl rubber adhesive on both sides, DENSOLEN®-N8 is a 3-layer co-extruded plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material. The tape has self-amalgamating properties which creates a leak-proof, hose-type coating when the tape is wrapped. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-N8 is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures from -40 to +50 °C. The tape has a thickness of 0,8 mm, a width of 50 mm and a roll length of 15 m.
