DENSO anti-corrosion tape DENSOLEN®-S10 50 mm

For repair work of pipeline connections and to protect them against corrosion, several DENSO products can be used, including DENSOLEN® butyl rubber tapes and mastics. DENSOLEN® tapes are easy to apply and do not require any special equipment. The tapes are self-amalgamating and form a protective layer that is both water-resistant and oxygen-resistant. Application

DENSOLEN®-S10 is a corrosion prevention product ideal for use on pipes and fittings with uneven surfaces and complex geometries. The tape is applied cold and the extremely flexible carrier film ensures that DENSOLEN®-S10 fits perfectly on uneven surfaces and parts with complex shapes. With an impact resistance corresponding to class C, the tape is a DIN-DVGW (B 50) approved system.

Product Features

With butyl rubber adhesive on both sides, DENSOLEN®-S10 is a 3-layer co-extruded plastic tape made of stabilized polyethylene carrier material. The tape has self-amalgamating properties which creates a leak-proof, hose-type coating when the tape is wrapped. This makes the tape system impermeable to water vapor and oxygen and resistant to soil bacteria and electrolytes. DENSOLEN®-S10 is cold applied and can be used in combination with factory coatings of PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE and bitumen. The tape is suitable for operating temperatures up to +50 °C. The tape has a thickness of 0,8 mm, a width of 50 mm and a roll length of 15 m. The use of DENSOLEN®-HT Primer is recommended to achieve optimal adhesion of the DENSOLEN® tapes to the substrate.
