DENSO filling mass DENSOLEN®-WP Mastic 40x4 mm

Pipelines can be protected against corrosion using DENSO corrosion preventive tapes, but in case of uneven surfaces on the pipeline, DENSO fillers can be applied first to fill these voids. DENSOLEN®-Mastics are specifically designed for use with DENSOLEN® tapes and are often used for smoothing high weld seams or to fill cavities in cable outlets or T-pieces. In combination with DENSOLEN® tapes, the filler forms a protective sealing layer because it fuses with the anti-corrosion tape. This guarantees permanent protection against corrosion.

Product Features

The DENSOLEN®-Mastic filling compounds are made of a synthetic butyl rubber mastic and are available in various forms. DENSOLEN®-WP Mastic is a tape with good stability and formability. The length of this tape is 2,5 m. An alternative is DENSOLEN®-W or WS, a bar-shaped version that is soft and easily formable.

Processing

The DENSOLEN® fillers can be applied and shaped by hand to smooth the uneven surface. Furthermore, the use of heat is not necessary during application, which makes installation simple and efficient, thus reducing time and risks. For optimum adhesion to the pipeline, it is recommended to pretreat the surface with DENSOLEN®-HT Primer.
