DENSO has developed various DENSIT® tapes specifically for insulation and sealing. The tapes offer protection against the ingress of air and water. In addition, the tapes create high-quality connections between prefabricated components, making them an indispensable part of any construction or building project.
Densit®-FK and -K are specifically designed for use as an intermediate layer between metal surfaces of the same or different types, as well as between construction parts of other materials. This means that these tapes can serve as insulation for wagons and containers. In addition to corrosion protection for ventilation systems and refrigeration systems, these tapes can also be used for sealing joints in electrical, mechanical and ventilation systems.
As a result of a high electrical resistance and an operating temperature range of -50 to +80 °C, Densit®-FK and -K are particularly effective in providing galvanic isolation between dissimilar metals. DENSIT® -FK tapes consist of a laminated thin polyethylene film. In contrast to DENSIT® -K, DENSIT® -FK only has one adhesive layer and is therefore ideal for use on free surfaces. This tape has a width of 15 mm, a thickness of 1 mm and a roll length of 10 m.
