DENSO has developed various DENSIT® tapes specifically for insulation and sealing. The tapes offer protection against the ingress of air and water. In addition, the tapes create high-quality connections between prefabricated components, making them an indispensable part of any construction or building project.
DENSIT®-FK and -K are particularly suitable as an intermediate layer between metal surfaces of the same or different types, as well as between construction components made of other materials. This allows these tapes to be used for insulation in the construction of wagons and containers. In addition, they can be used for corrosion protection of ventilation and cooling systems, as well as for sealing joints in ventilation, air conditioning and electrical technology applications.
As a result of a high electrical resistance and an operating temperature range of -50 to +80 °C, Densit®-FK and -K are particularly effective in providing galvanic isolation between dissimilar metals. DENSIT®-K is a self-adhesive tape made of flexible butyl rubber. Unlike DENSIT® -FK, DENSIT® -K has an adhesive layer on both sides. Thanks to its double-sided adhesive strength, DENSIT®-K is particularly suitable for applications between metal parts. This tape has a width of 30 mm, a thickness of 2 mm and a roll length of 4 m.
