Hawle coupling Synoflex 7974 DN225 230/260 mm

When connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron or AC pipes, dimensional and compatibility problems with couplings arise. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series. For example, older pipes, such as asbestos cement and cast iron, can be connected to modern pipes, such as PE and PVC. In addition, they have a long lifetime and are quick, safe and easy to install. Because time and costs are saved, the Hawle Synoflex coupling is an all-round coupling and an essential product in pipeline engineering.

Application

In accordance with EN 14525, Synoflex couplings can be used with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The Synoflex coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 225 and has a size range from minimum 230 mm to maximum 260 mm on both sides. The gasket of this coupling is made of EPDM, making the coupling suitable for drinking water up to PN16.

Product Features

To prevent abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion, Synoflex couplings are made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating. The grip ring ensures that the pressure is evenly distributed over the pipe, resulting in minimal constriction on the pipe, a unique feature compared to other couplings on the market. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require support liners for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Synoflex couplings have an angle of deflection of 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the coupling.
