Hawle coupling Synoflex 7974 DN250 265/310 mm

Correctly connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron and AC, can be challenging due to dimensional and compatibility issues with the couplings. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series, which is specially designed to connect, for example, older pipes, such as those made of asbestos cement or cast iron, to modern pipe materials, such as PE and PVC. In addition, they have a long lifetime and are quick, safe, and easy to install. This makes the Hawle Synoflex an all-round coupling and indispensable because of the time and costs that can be saved.

Application

In accordance with EN 14525, Synoflex couplings are compatible with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The Synoflex coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 250 and has a size range from minimum 265 mm to maximum 310 mm on both sides. In addition, this coupling has a gasket made of EPDM on both sides and is therefore suitable for drinking water up to PN16.

Product Features

Thanks to the ductile iron housing with an epoxy powder coating, the Synoflex coupling offers long-term resistance to abrasion or damage caused by corrosion or chemicals. Compared to other couplings on the market, the unique design of the grip ring ensures even pressure distribution over the pipe, resulting in the least constriction on the pipe. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require support liners for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Furthermore, the Synoflex coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire coupling size range.
