Hawle coupling Synoflex 7974 DN400 398/442 mm PN10

Correctly connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron and AC, can be challenging due to dimensional and compatibility issues with the couplings. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series, which is specially designed to connect, for example, older pipes, such as those made of asbestos cement or cast iron, to modern pipe materials, such as PE and PVC. In addition, they have a long lifetime and are quick, safe, and easy to install. This makes the Hawle Synoflex an all-round coupling and indispensable because of the time and costs that can be saved.

Application

In accordance with EN 14525, Synoflex couplings can be used with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The Synoflex coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 400 and has a size range from minimum 398 mm to maximum 442 mm on both sides. In addition, this coupling has a gasket made of EPDM on both sides and is therefore suitable for drinking water up to PN10.

Product Features

The Synoflex coupling is made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating. This makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion over a long period of time. The grip ring ensures that the pressure is evenly distributed over the pipe, resulting in minimal constriction on the pipe, a unique feature compared to other couplings on the market. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require support liners for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. In addition, the Synoflex coupling is suitable for angular deflection up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the coupling.
