Due to dimensional and compatibility issues with couplings, it can be difficult to properly connect non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron or AC. These challenges are addressed by Hawle's Synoflex series, which is designed to connect, for example, older pipes, such as cast iron or asbestos cement, to modern pipes such as PE and PVC. Application

The 7994 flange adapter is suitable for PE80/100 pipes (according to EN 12201, DIN 8074). The Synoflex flange adaptor can be used on a wide range of pipe materials, including steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron and AC (AC restraint is not guaranteed), in accordance with EN 14525. The flange bore is according to EN1092 PN10. This flange adapter has a DN 50 flange on one side and has a restraint, wide range connection of DN 50 on the other side. The size range of this connection is minimum 56 mm to maximum 71 mm. This flange adapter is equipped with a gasket of EPDM making it suitable for drinking water up to PN16.

Product Features

To prevent abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion, Synoflex flange adapters are made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating. Compared to other couplings on the market, the unique design of the grip ring ensures even pressure distribution over the pipe, resulting in the least constriction on the pipe. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require a support liner for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Furthermore, the Synoflex coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to a maximum of 4° over the entire size range of the flange adapter.
