When connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron or AC pipes, dimensional and compatibility problems with couplings arise. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series. Application

In accordance with EN 14525, Synoflex couplings are compatible with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). With an EPDM gasket on both sides, the coupling reducer coupling is suitable for drinking water up to PN16. This Synoflex reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 150 and has a size range from a minimum of 155 mm to a maximum of 192 mm. The other connection is DN 100 and has a size range from a minimum of 104 mm to a maximum of 132 mm.

Product Features

The Synoflex reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The Synoflex reducing coupling is made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating. This makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion. The grip ring ensures that the pressure is evenly distributed over the pipe, resulting in minimal constriction on the pipe, a unique feature compared to other couplings on the market. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require support liners for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Furthermore, the Synoflex reducing coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range.
