When connecting non-dedicated pipes, such as cast iron or AC pipes, dimensional and compatibility problems with couplings arise. Hawle addresses these challenges with the Synoflex series. For example, older pipes, such as asbestos cement and cast iron, can be connected to modern pipes, such as PE and PVC. In addition, they have a long lifetime and are quick, safe and easy to install. Because time and costs are saved, the Hawle Synoflex coupling is an all-round coupling and an essential product in pipeline engineering.

Application

The Synoflex coupling can be used on a wide range of pipe materials, including steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron and AC (AC restraint is not guaranteed), in accordance with EN 14525. This coupling is equipped with an EPDM gasket on both sides, making it suitable for drinking water up to PN16. This Synoflex reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 225 and has a size range from a minimum of 230 mm to a maximum of 260 mm. The other connection is DN 200 and has a size range from a minimum of 198 mm to a maximum of 230 mm.

The Synoflex reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The Synoflex reducing coupling is made of ductile iron with an epoxy powder coating. This makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion. Compared to other couplings on the market, the unique design of the grip ring ensures even pressure distribution over the pipe, resulting in minimal constriction on the pipe. An additional advantage is that the Synoflex couplings do not require support liners for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. Furthermore, within the entire size range of the Synoflex reducing coupling, an angular deflection of up to 8° (2x 4°) is possible.
