SV tape can be used as caulk substitute for bodywork.

Description

SV tape is a structural connection tape for bodywork. This adhesive tape can be used to replace mechanical fixings such as screws, clamps, welds and rivets. You can also improve the structure by load distribution.

SV tape consists of 100% acrylic glue. The closed cell structure helps create a wind and watertight connection between bonded materials.

The connection tape is very elastic, so it absorbs vibrations. The permanent viscoelasticity of the SV tape makes it ideal for absorbing dynamic loads and a stress-free connection between the materials bonded together. SV tape also absorbs different expansion coefficients between different materials.

SV tape is used for various bonding purposes in bodywork construction. This includes bonding polyester roofing sheets, kick strips, battens, corner mouldings, fixtures, etc.

The advantage over bonding with sealants is that it is quick and clean. The smooth, straight adhesive tape also looks better in roof panels. The immediate high bonding capacity means that temporarily using tape to hold parts in position until the sealant has cured sufficiently is no longer necessary. When bonding a roofing sheet, using double-sided spacer tape to initially bond and hold in place is also unnecessary. SV tape ensures high-quality bonding, and reduces the working hours needed for bonding parts.

SV tapes are ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 16949 certified.
