Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series provides a solution for joining non-dedicated pipes made of various materials. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the entire circumference of the pipe, allowing it to withstand axial loads. As internal pressure increases, the gripping mechanism's ability to hold end loads increases. In addition, UltraGrip's grippers are removable, allowing for axial movement.
The UltraGrip coupling can be connected to various pipes, including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP, and asbestos cement. The UltraGrip coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 150 and has a size range from minimum 158,2 mm to maximum 192 mm on both sides. The gasket of this coupling is made of EPDM, making the coupling suitable for drinking water up to PN 16.
The UltraGrip coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip coupling is made of ductile iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating. This makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion over a long period of time. In addition, the specially profiled gasket completely seals pipes, despite damage or corrosion on the pipes. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. UltraGrip couplings have an angle of deflection of 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the coupling.
