Viking Johnson coupling UltraGrip DN175 192,2-226,9 mm

Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series is designed to join non-dedicated pipes of various materials. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the pipe circumference, thereby resisting axial loads. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism can also hold more end load. Because the grippers are removable, UltraGrip can also be converted to a flexible, non-restraint product that allows for axial movement.

Application

Various pipe materials can be connected to the UltraGrip coupling, including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. The UltraGrip coupling is restraint and is designed to connect pipes with different outside diameters. The connection of this coupling is DN 175 and has a size range from minimum 192,2 mm to maximum 226,9 mm on both sides. This coupling is equipped with a EPDM gasket on both sides, making it suitable for drinking water up to PN 16.

Product Features

The UltraGrip coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. To prevent abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion, UltraGrip couplings are made of ductile iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating. In addition, the specially profiled gasket ensures that even damaged and corroded pipes are completely sealed. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire coupling size range.
