Viking Johnson end cap UltraGrip DN175-1" axial

Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series is designed to provide a solution for joining non-dedicated pipes made of different materials. It features a gripping mechanism that provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference, resisting axial loading. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism's ability to hold the end load increases. Additionally, the grippers are removable, allowing UltraGrip to be converted into a flexible, non-restraint product that allows for axial movement.

Application

The UltraGrip end cap can be connected to various pipe materials, such as steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron, and AC, in accordance with EN 14525 (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The UltraGrip end cap is restraint and has a 1" internal thread, axial outlet. This end cap has a DN 175 wide range connection with a size range of at least 192,2 mm to a maximum of 226,9 mm. In addition, this end cap has EPDM sealing material and is therefore suitable for drinking water up to PN 16.

Product Features

The UltraGrip end cap is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip end cap is made of steel with a rilsan nylon 11 coating. This provides the coupling with long-term resistance to abrasion or significant damage from chemicals or corrosion. In addition, the specially profiled gasket ensures that even damaged and corroded pipes are completely sealed. An additional advantage is that the UltraGrip couplings do not require a support liner for PE pipes with an SDR class of <21. For the UltraGrip side, a support liner is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip end cap allows angular deflection up to 4° over the entire size range of the end cap.
