Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series provides a solution for joining non-dedicated pipes made of various materials. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the entire circumference of the pipe, allowing it to withstand axial loads. As internal pressure increases, the gripping mechanism's ability to hold end loads increases. In addition, UltraGrip's grippers are removable, allowing for axial movement.
In accordance with EN 14525, UltraGrip flange adapters can be used with a variety of pipe materials including steel, PE, PVC, steel, cast iron and AC (AC restraint cannot be guaranteed). The flange bore is according to EN1092 PN10/16. This flange adapter has a DN 65 flange on one side and has a restraint, wide range connection of DN 65 on the other side. The size range of this connection is minimum 63 mm to maximum 83,7 mm. This flange adapter is equipped with a gasket of EPDM making it suitable for drinking water up to PN 16.
The UltraGrip flange adapter is made of ductile iron with a rilsan nylon 11 coating, which makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or damage from corrosion or chemicals. In addition, the specially profiled gasket completely seals pipes, despite damage or corrosion on the pipes. For the UltraGrip side, a support liner is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, it is possible to absorb an angular deflection of up to 4° over the entire size range of the entire UltraGrip couplings.
