Viking Johnson gradient coupling UltraGrip DN100-DN125

Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series is designed to join non-dedicated pipes of various materials. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the pipe circumference, thereby resisting axial loads. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism can also hold more end load. Because the grippers are removable, UltraGrip can also be converted to a flexible, non-restraint product that allows for axial movement.

Application

Both sides of the UltraGrip coupling can be connected to various pipe materials including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. In addition, this coupling has an EPDM gasket on both sides and is therefore suitable for drinking water up to PN 16. This UltraGrip reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 100 and has a size range from a minimum of 107 mm to a maximum of 133,2 mm. The other connection is DN 125 and has a size range from a minimum of 132,2 mm to a maximum of 160,2 mm.

Product Features

The UltraGrip reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. This reducing coupling is made of cast iron with a rilsan nylon 11 coating, making it highly resistant to abrasion and damage from chemicals or corrosion. In addition, even damaged and corroded pipes can be completely sealed by the specially profiled gasket. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip coupling can accommodate angular deflection up to a maximum of 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range of the reducing coupling.
