Viking Johnson gradient coupling UltraGrip DN125-DN150

Viking Johnson offers a solution for connecting non-dedicated pipes of various materials with the UltraGrip series. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference and resistance for axial loads. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism can hold more end loads. In addition, UltraGrip can be converted to a flexible, non-restraint product that allows axial movement by removing the grippers.

Application

Both sides of the UltraGrip coupling can be connected to various pipe materials including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. In addition, this coupling is suitable for drinking water up to PN 16 due to the gasket of EPDM on both sides. This UltraGrip reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 125 and has a size range from a minimum of 132,2 mm to a maximum of 160,2 mm. The other connection is DN 150 and has a size range from a minimum of 158,2 mm to a maximum of 192,2 mm.

Product Features

The UltraGrip reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip reducing coupling is made of cast iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating, which makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or damage from corrosion or chemicals. Due to the specially profiled gasket of the coupling, even pipes that are damaged or affected by corrosion can be completely sealed. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip reducing coupling is capable of withstanding an angular deflection of up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range.
