Viking Johnson reducing coupling UltraGrip DN080-DN150

Viking Johnson's UltraGrip Series is designed to provide a solution for joining non-dedicated pipes made of different materials. It features a gripping mechanism that provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference, resisting axial loading. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism's ability to hold the end load increases. Additionally, the grippers are removable, allowing UltraGrip to be converted into a flexible, non-restraint product that allows for axial movement.

Application

Both sides of the UltraGrip coupling can be connected to various pipe materials including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP and asbestos cement. The gasket of this coupling is made of EPDM, making the coupling suitable for drinking water up to PN 16. This UltraGrip reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 100 and has a size range from a minimum of 107,2 mm to a maximum of 133,2 mm. The other connection is DN 150 and has a size range from a minimum of 158,2 mm to a maximum of 192,2 mm.

Product Features

The UltraGrip reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. The UltraGrip reducing coupling is made of cast iron with an rilsan nylon 11 coating, which makes the coupling resistant to abrasion or damage from corrosion or chemicals. In addition, pipes can be completely sealed by the specially profiled gasket, even when they are damaged or affected by corrosion. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, within the entire size range of the UltraGrip reducing coupling, an angular deflection of up to 8° (2x 4°) is possible.
