Viking Johnson offers a solution for connecting non-dedicated pipes of various materials with the UltraGrip series. The gripping mechanism provides maximum grip around the entire pipe circumference and resistance for axial loads. As the internal pressure in the pipe increases, the gripping mechanism can hold more end loads. In addition, UltraGrip can be converted to a flexible, non-restraint product that allows axial movement by removing the grippers.

Application

The UltraGrip coupling allows you to connect the coupling to various pipes, including cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, PE, GRP, asbestos cement. In addition, this coupling has an EPDM gasket on both sides and is therefore suitable for drinking water up to PN 16. This UltraGrip reducing coupling is a restraint coupling, which is designed to connect pipes with different outer diameters. One connection of the coupling is DN 175 and has a size range from a minimum of 192,2 mm to a maximum of 226,9 mm. The other connection is DN 200 and has a size range from a minimum of 218,1 mm to a maximum of 256 mm.

Product Features

The UltraGrip reducing coupling is designed to meet the requirements of EN 14525. This reducing coupling is made of cast iron with a rilsan nylon 11 coating, making it highly resistant to abrasion and damage from chemicals or corrosion. In addition, pipes can be completely sealed by the specially profiled gasket, even when they are damaged or affected by corrosion. A support liner for this coupling is recommended when used on a PE pipe. Furthermore, the UltraGrip reducing coupling is capable of withstanding an angular deflection of up to 8° (2x 4°) over the entire size range.
