A but roll is a bump block that prevents damage, during loading and unloading at a docking station, to the back of your truck. Parking in reverse against a loading dock is quite tricky. The space between the loading dock and the truck should be as small as possible. To prevent damage to your truck, you can install but rollers, also called bump rollers or bump blocks. If you accidentally drive into the loading dock, a but roll cushions the blow.
