The SBS telematics system is an online portal via which you can manage not only the security and condition of your cargo but other trailer data too. We do this using the T Comm Telematics trailer telematics & tracking system. This software brings all your trailer data together in a single tailor-made screen.
Carriers who comply with the TAPA TSR 1 standard are obliged to monitor door status. When you link the SBS telematics system to our Hornet and Inlock locks, as a carrier you can monitor the status of the trailer door at all times, track the position of the truck, set up geofence zones and change lock settings. And, of course, you will also receive real-time alerts in the event of any (attempted) break-in.
Besides monitoring and controlling our locks, you can also transmit other trailer data. So you can double-monitor the temperature in a cargo space, for example – a requirement that a lot of carriers of pharmaceutical products have. Within the system, the planner sees all the relevant information in a single tailor-made dashboard. It is quick and provides a clear overview! As a result, you can search for more in-depth information.

Fewer transport incidents
When you connect the SBS telematics system to our SBS Hornet and SBS Inlock locks, you can monitor your trailer doors in real time. You receive messages in the event of (attempted) break-ins so that you can take action quickly and prevent cargo theft.
Management of lock settings
In addition to real-time monitoring, you can also change lock settings with SBS telematics. The lock can be changed from a deadlock to a slamlock remotely, for example, and pincodes or tags can be blocked.

In addition to security data, you can also connect other telematics such as onboard computers, TMS systems, trailer telematics and transport cooling systems to the trailer telematics system quite easily. As a result, you have a better overview of all information flows.

Suitable for TAPA TSR 1 applications
When you comply with TAPA TSR 1, you are obliged to monitor the door status. With the SBS telematics system, you can do that in real time. When lock maintenance needs to be carried out, you receive an alert for each individual trailer, which is another TAPA TSR 1 obligation.

The SBS system registers when and by whom a lock is opened, which means that you always have proof that the customer’s requirements have been met. You can also send reports and carry out analyses which identify improvements in the logistics process.
